How we got here
Two decades
Out of an AI research lab at UIUC
Keiji AI came out of an AI research lab at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Long before it was a category, the team was building machine learning for health data — the research foundation the platform still rests on, published in Nature, Nature BME, Nature Communications, and top AI venues.
From 2020
Leading clinical trial AI at IQVIA and Medidata
We led AI research for clinical trials inside two of the industry's largest platforms, and learned how trials are actually designed, run, monitored, and reported — and where AI genuinely helps rather than merely demos well.
2023
Regulatory-grade agents, and Keiji AI
General-purpose models could already write code and summarise papers. What did not exist was output a regulated team could defend. We founded Keiji AI to build agents for clinical research that carry citations, traceable logic, and an audit trail by design.

Deployed, and still learning
